Baby registry…
To many, it feels like a giant black hole. When I first started putting my registry together it was very overwhelming. There were so many different choices so much variety and I had no idea where to start. After doing hours of research and feeling like I was getting nowhere I knew I needed to take a step back.
After taking a little break and talking to some close mommy friends I was able to pull myself out of the black hole and finalize my registry. For my other moms out there who are feeling overwhelmed as I did here are my top 5 favorite baby items to add to your registry.
This list is not going to include things such as a crib or car seat, you already know if you need those. This is going to include other things that you may be on the fence about.
1.Hatch Rest
My little guy REFUSED to sleep without the sound of water in the background and standing in the bathroom running the shower or tub was just not feasible. This became the answer to our sleep troubles and even to this day Gabriel still uses this sound machine. The Rest is a sound machine, night light, and has a time-to-rise setting. We love that it has multiple sound and color choices, and the time-to -rise setting is great for toddlers.
2. Diaper Caddy
A diaper caddy is a MUST if you keep diapers in multiple places in your home. We keep our main stock of diapers and wipes in my sons’ nursery, but we use this caddy downstairs in our main living area. I’m able to store diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, nail clippers, a comb, and so much more in this organizer. This keeps everything in reach but nicely stored and easy to carry from room to room.
3. Pack-n-play
Now, this may be an item that you have seen on everyone’s registry but I had to add it to this must-have list as well. We used this when we first brought Gabriel home from the hospital and he slept in our bedroom and still use it now when we travel. Ours came with a carrying case, which makes it really easy to pack up and put in the car whenever we are visiting and great for storing away in the closet when not in use. Pack-n-plays are good for naps and also for keeping for baby/toddler in a secure place to play.
4. Nose Frida
Ok, my husband was 100% against this and refused to use this the first couple of months but it’s AMAZING. I know that it may sound gross to suck the snot out of your baby’s nose, but there is a barrier so it will never get to your mouth. This is one of my go-to gifts for my new mom friends.
5. Baby bath tub
I know that a lot of people think that it’s easier to just hold their baby while giving them a bath, but a baby bathtub makes things much easier. Getting a tub that is good for newborns up to toddler age is the best bang for your buck as well. Babies get wiggly fast so having a safe place for them to in while giving them a bath will give you peace of mind.
